September – Milestone

With more than 50 years experience in the home industry between them, HomeOnTrack creators Janet Busby and her team have been involved with every aspect of the home building and remodeling world. Their contacts within the home industry are extensive, from contractors to lenders, from tradesmen to specialists in most every component and product you find in your home. It’s their greatest wish to share their experience and their expertise to make your next home project less stressful and enjoyable and to help you create a home you’ll be proud of for years to come.

1. Every business has a story, tell us yours.
   As an owner of a lighting showroom most of my clients were either homeowners or builders. I saw the need for better communications between them and their suppliers, so I created HomeOnTrack|
2. You were chosen as this month’s Milestone Member. Tell us about your Milestone achievements.
   The release of the HomeOnTrack software.

3. No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
   I would brag about how much I have learned in the process.

4. We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
   Don’t be hard on yourself and celebrate the victories, even the small ones.

5. What “teacher” has made the most impact on your life and why?
   My parents, they were both business owners – Mom taught me patience and Dad would say the future is not for us to see.

6. What might someone be surprised to know about you?
   I raced a dragster that went over 175 mph in the quarter mile in less than 8 seconds.
7. If you could have only one super power, what would it be and why?
   Healing – I’ve never liked getting sick or hurt and the time it takes to heal. The older I get the more I want the super power.

8. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
   Dalvin Cook run for a Viking 85-yard touchdown. Perfect example of being down and coming back stronger.

9. Why do you choose to WORK AWESOME at OffiCenters?
   I love the atmosphere and the friendly staff.
