MAD Studios started in 2000 as a small creative marketing and design studio in Miami, FL with two designers. Now, 17 years later, we have grown to five locations and expanded into Printing, Web Development, PR, and Fulfillment.
You were chosen as this month’s Milestone Client. Tell us about your Milestone achievements.
I started with MAD when I was just out of college as an entry level Graphic Designer. Now 10 years later I am one of MAD’s Creative Directors and Managing Partner of MAD Minneapolis. The growth that the company has taken on while I have worked with them, and my own personal growth as well, always amazes me!
No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
I’d say we have some stellar Graphic Designers! So many people call themselves Graphic Designers these days, but when I look at their work compared to the work we put out there, I often smile and mentally praise everyone for the strength in design and marketing we have!
We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
Take a moment to step away from looking at your business the same way you always do and look at from an outsiders perspective. Are you impressed with your business? Would you want to work with your business? If not take the time to change it so it makes a lasting impressions on others and ultimately grows!
Share the best advice you ever received.
Very cliché, but nothing worth having comes easy. On days when I am exhausted and drained from all of the hours I have put in at the office I think to myself how great it feels to help so many businesses and individuals grow to where they are today.
Describe your perfect day off.
Now that I have a toddler, my sleeping in days are over. So it would start with being able to sleep in, having a nice brunch and spending the afternoon laying in the sun relaxing.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I am a huge sports fan! Growing up in Wisconsin and going to school in Madison, I am a super big Green Bay Packer and Badger fan!

The staff at the Union Plaza location are always there to help assist me with anything I need help with. Not only that but they are super prompt, efficient, and always friendly!
If you could work anywhere under the sun, where would you choose?
Anywhere that is warm year round. Ideally, if I could have a desk in a sunroom that had retractable doors and windows so it seemed like I was working outside all day would be heaven on earth for me!
