The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®, the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. The first Komen Twin Cities Race for the Cure® was held in 1993, with 2,500 participants attending. In recent years, nearly 50,000 participants have shared in the enthusiasm of the Race on Mother’s Day.
