In memory of the nearly 3,000 people who were killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington DC and a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Each year in the United States we observe Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance on September 11.
