Revation Systems LiveLink technology is an amazing innovation to the communications industry. That is why Perry Price co-founder of Revation Systems is this month’s Innovator. LinkLive’s true unified communications bring together VoIP, video, chat, file transfer, and screen sharing – so you have a single tool that allows you to connect with any of your customers whatever the customer’s preferred medium. We are proud that TEAM Revation has found a home at OffiCenter at International Plaza.

1)   Who are you and what do you do? Revation Systems is committed to enabling rich, secure, and compliant communications for an organizations most important connections – those with their customers, patients, and business partners. Since our founding in 2003, we have been dedicated to the belief that the quality of communications can be increased while the costs and hassles can be decreased using virtual communications via our cloud platform. Customers across more than 20 states and three countries use Revation’s LinkLive technology, including leading banks and credit unions, government agencies, large hospital systems and provider groups, and online retailers.

2)   Which OffiCenters location does your business call ‘home-base’? OffiCenter at International Plaza.

3)   How long have you been an OffiCenters client? 1.5 Years.

4)   What is your ‘elevator speech’? We can eliminate 70% of the capital expenditures associated with traditional phone systems and 50% of the operating cost of running phone lines and services. We do this while enabling a wide variety of new applications like IP Video, Web Chat and other technologies that become strategic for our customers.

5)   Where did you get the idea for your business? Mark Pietras, the other Revation Founder, is a world class software architect and coder. In the process of selling a previous business, he and I were sitting in Paris and came up with the concept for this software. It boiled down to an agreement that if Mark would build it, I could sell it and that is how we started.

6)   What makes your business unique? We are the only company to virtualize all aspects of real-time communications (voice, video, desktop sharing, document sharing) and keep 100% of the content encrypted under a single session ID. This has significant value in regulated markets such as financial and medical services.

7)   What are the keys to your success? 1) Talented staff with the right skills and know-how makes all the difference. 2) Focusing on customers who are strategic to our long-term growth objectives. 3) Delivering solutions that radically change the game for our industry.

8)   How has officing with OffiCenters changed your business? OffiCenters enables us to focus on our customers without worrying about the daily task associated with office space. This saves us time, money and enables us to focus on strategic business activities.

9)   Do you use social media to attract clients? If so, which services do you use? We use a fair amount of Twitter and organic Google search features.

10)   What is one of your favorite quotes? “Change is inevitable. Suffering is optional.” – I don’t recall the author of this quote.

11)   Who has been an inspiration in your life, and how? As a young man I worked for a farmer. He had an amazing work ethic with a unique ability to resolve almost any problem.

12)   When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you use it? I call my college age Twins. One is at Drake in Des Moines and the other at the University of WI in Eau Claire. They are both seniors and if I can reach them it’s the perfect way to fill 30 minutes.

13)   If you could be any fictional character, whom would you choose and why? Professor X from the X-men. His telepathy and mind control capabilities would be handy in business.

14)   If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? It would be great to soar like an American Eagle. They seem to spend less time hunting than most animals and nest in places that have fantastic scenery.

15)   What is your favorite restaurant in Minnesota? Doolittles at Cliff and 77 is my regular place, great wood fired food but I also love Cio Bella’s patio.

16)   What is your favorite place to visit in Minnesota? Lake Kabetogama is a family favorite.

17)   What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life? Plenty of Elton John, Billy Joel and almost anything from John Denver.

18)   If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve ever seen before, what would you paint and why? Just being able to paint would be great; I’m not much of an artist. An aerial view of the farm I grew up on would make a nice painting and bring back fond childhood memories.

19)   What is your favorite part of being with OffiCenters? The staff is always friendly, available and willing to help. Thank You!
