ActionCOACH is a global franchise with over 1500 offices world-wide and almost a third of them are in North America. The Minnesota firm is #12 in the world and exists with three principal partners, Dave & Tracy Ford, who own the Minnesota Licenses and run the North Twin Cities office, and Stephen Crawford who runs the South Twin Cities Campus. The principal in the South Office, Stephen Crawford, ran a non-profit with about 60 employees doing training and leadership development for other non-profits for over a decade before launching a private consultancy. After a few years, he was hungry to accelerate the growth in his practice and launched out to partner with the ActionCOACH franchise that already existed in Minnesota. Over the last few years, they have helped hundreds of businesses avoid the common pitfalls small businesses often make and helped them structure for growth, increase profit, and build a business not just a job.

Last month it was an honor to have one of our clients, Twin City Heating and Air, celebrate $1 Million in revenue for the first time. Their previous record was $450K. To celebrate he took us downtown with his entire team and all strategic partners to Fogo de Chao. It is great to celebrate client successes.

We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
No one is as smart as they think they are (including a business coach) and mistakes tend to humble us. My recommendation is to be authentic and never be afraid of losing the business. If you have to change to win the business it’s not worth it. Never be afraid of asking dumb questions. Most of my clients’ greatest insights have started with a foolish question.
