Every Business has a story to tell, tell us yours
Since the Civil War era my family has served in all branches of the military, the Ladies Auxiliary,   VA Hospital, American Legion and the VFW. For us, the placement of flower tributes is a family tradition of four generations and we are training the fifth generation.  Beginning in 1920, my great grandmother placed flowers on the caskets of the soldiers returning from WWI, before they were removed from the trains that carried them home.  Honored Always became a business for me as I struggled with my own loss and it has helped me through my grief.  Now we bring joy to others.

You were chosen as this month’s Success Member. Tell us about a recent Success.
Recently I updated my logo. I wanted a logo that was simple yet pop – to visually grab an eye.

No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
In a word, reciprocity.  Giving back.  Especially to the Veteran community whether directly to veterans though our support of Haven for Hero’s Veteran home in Anoka, MN or working closely, with the Blue Star Mother’s organization.

We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
I’ve learned to ask my wholesalers for advise.

What “teacher” has made the most impact on your life and why?
A pastor who spoke in a way that drew me into the story he was telling.  I was compelled to listen and look for more.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I have a desire to be the mascot of a sports team, to hide behind a mask, be silly and no one knows my identity.

If you could have only one super power, what would it be and why?
Teleporting.  I would like nothing more than to snap my fingers and be in front of my grandchildren.  They are a military family and I don’t get to see them very much.  I like the idea of teleporting and being present with them to have dinner, do homework with them or tuck them into bed.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
At a recent conference I learned of a new program for veterans called Pets for Vets that help match rescue animals with veterans; they assist in the adoption and the training, ensuring a good fit for both.

Why do you choose to WORK AWESOME at OffiCenters?
The convenience and proximity to Fort Snelling National Cemetery
