I have been involved with different facets of the security industry for over 20 years. Business ownership has always been a goal of mine and i opened the Minnesota office of Signal 88 Security in 2013.
You were chosen as this month’s Success Client. Tell us about your most recent Success.
Signal 88 Security was selected to provide security for the 2015 Twin Cities Pride Festival, which is one of the largest high profile events of its kind in the world, expected to attract over 350,000 attendees this year.
No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
I would say that I’m extremely proud of the character and professionalism exhibited by all of my staff on a daily basis. They do a difficult job and never disappoint!
We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
It’s OK to say “no” under the right conditions. Your instincts will let you know what those conditions are.

Never say “no” just because you’ve never done it!
Describe your perfect day off.
This time of year it would have to be waking up early for coffee and breakfast with family, followed by something physically challenging outdoors with friends; maybe some type of miserable race. A ridiculously unhealthy lunch leading to a lazy afternoon on the water. Dress up for dinner and cocktails somewhere cool and decadent downtown. Wrap up a long day telling stories around a bonfire and bed!
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I also work as a Captain on a Fire Department.

I receive outstanding customer service and attention to detail. Everyone I’ve met has been friendly and engaging.
If you could work anywhere under the sun, where would you choose?
As long as I’m doing meaningful work with good people I’m happy, but no deserts, it is NOT a “dry” heat!
