20150526_140343(1)-1Kevin Dillon is the Chief Executive Officer with CloSys Corporation and a full-time client at Park OffiCenter. CloSys Corporation, a privately-held Minnesota company, has patented, developed, tested and is in a clinical evaluation of a unique vascular closure method. A true example of an Innovator! Below, learn more about Kevin and what it is he does.

Every business has a story, tell us yours.
CloSys Corporation makes the CloSys hemostatic device (HD) which is a technology for vascular closure. This device facilitates the sealing of a puncture site in the femoral artery after an interventional cardiology or peripheral vascular procedure. It is unique in that it achieves the closure but does not leave any foreign material behind in the patient. It helps to get the patient out of cardiac cath lab and walking around sooner and it is more comfortable for the patient than the traditional method of manual compression.

You were chosen as this month’s Innovator Client. What does being an Innovator mean to you?
Being an innovator means doing things differently, doing more things with fewer resources, and all the while getting better results. Innovating rarely happens in a vacuum so being an innovator also means you are a good listener so that can apply what you learned in new and better ways.

No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
We are about 25% through a clinical trial and so far things are on track for meeting the key endpoints of time to hemostasis (the bleeding stops), time to ambulation (the patient can walk) and safety.

We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
Don’t believe everything that you hear. Trust, but verify.

Share the best advice you ever received.
Be concerned and sensitive to the needs of others. This means focusing more on what you give than what you can get.

Describe your perfect day off.
Skiing – either out west in the Rockies for downhill or up near Hayward, WI for cross country on the Birkie trail.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I have (had) an FCC license to be a disc jockey or announcer on the radio.

Together we are stronger. Tell us something you like about being our client.
The friendly and helpful staff, the convenient location, and positive social environment that you help create.

If you could work anywhere under the sun, where would you choose?
How about a beach in Hawaii?
