July – Service of the Month

2013 -07 service of the monthFor many small business owners, networking is the biggest contributor to their new client roster. Even if you’ve got all of your print and electronic materials in circulation, you’ve still got to get yourself into circulation as well! But, networking is only half of the battle. The other half is doing something with all of those business cards you collect from the events and groups you attend. VirtualOffiCenters can help! We will take those business cards, create an electronic data base for your contacts, manage your data base and send follow-up emails to your new prospective clients. And, during the month of July, we offer 20% off all Networking Support services.

We know it can be hard to network effectively so here are some helpful tips to get you started:

1)     Start by joining one of our free networking groups! The Park OffiCenter group meets every first Thursday of the month and the France OffiCenter group meets the second Wednesday of every month. These two groups will welcome you with open arms and make you feel comfortable if you are new to the networking scene. Click here to learn more and register! https://officenters.com/events/month/

2)     Try one new group a month and set a goal to meet five new people. It will not help to generate new leads to keep going to the same networking meeting and talking to the same people. Talk to new people and attend every function you can that synergizes your goals and increases customer/prospect interaction.

3)     Carry your business cards everywhere you go. You never know when you will meet a key contact, and if you don’t have your cards with you – you lose out. Take your cards to church, the gym, parties, the grocery store, and even on walks with the dog.

4)     GET ACTIVE! People remember and do business with leaders. Don’t just warm a chair! Get involved with the group by joining a committee or becoming a board member. If you don’t have time for a commitment like that, volunteer to help with hospitality for the event or checking people in. This gives you a reason to talk to others, gets you involved in the inner workings of the group, and provides you with more visibility.

5)     Be willing to give and receive. Networking is a two-way street. Do not expect new contacts to shower you with referrals and business unless you are equally generous. Follow up on your contacts, keep in touch and always share information or leads that might benefit them. You’ll be paid back tenfold for your thoughtfulness.
