Every business has a story, tell us yours.
It began with, and continues to be, about a passion for events. I was the student council junkie growing up and it evolved into the campus programming board at St Thomas, internships and eventually a job. As I grew in the event industry, I saw a lot of businesses and non-profits that had event needs but either were not getting them done or were executing their events poorly.

We work primarily with business and non-profits to make sure the stress of event planning stays off their plate and they can enjoy their function! We plan, manage, market and staff everything from a 50-person lunch and learn to a 2,000-person employee appreciation picnic, a 400-person business conference and a 300-person fundraising gala…and everything in between!

You were chosen as this month’s Success Client. Tell us about your most recent Success.
Two quick ones that come to mind. We worked with a local non-profit on their Victory Gala, a beautiful event held at The St Paul Hotel on New Year’s Eve. We raised 25% more this year than last year! It was very exciting and will sustain the group’s mission for the coming year.

We were also working with a client on their association conference to be held this Fall. We are finalizing negotiations with the hotel and by advising them on a few small changes they will save over $5000 in various audio visual costs.

No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
The other day, a client said it best, “I feel like I’m collaborating with a friend or colleague not working with a vendor.”  We are partners with our clients – we love learning about their mission and helping make the vision for their event a reality.

We love when our clients are able to do what they do best, enjoy the event, and interact with their guests.  Ultimately, we want them to let us do everything from A to Z with their event.

We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
Believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who believe in you. Partner with people – vendors, clients and staff – that you enjoy being around.

Share the best advice you ever received.
There are so many wonderful pieces of advice. One I heard recently in the theme of the New Year is Make Mistakes. If you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You are doing things you have never done before, and more importantly, you are Doing Something.

Describe your perfect day off.
I would start the day with a long run with some girlfriends; spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake with my husband and a good book.  I would enjoy a leisurely dinner on a deck with good friends while enjoy a great bottle of wine and then end it with a fun conversation around a bonfire.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I am adventurous and love the rush of adrenaline! I have been bungee jumping, scuba diving, sky diving, glacier climbing, surfing…I love adventure and travel!

Together we are stronger. Tell us something you like about being our client.
The positive energy of everyone at the office! It is rejuvenating to arrive and have people around you that are so passionate and fun to be around. There are so many high quality people under one roof!

If you could work anywhere under the sun, where would you choose?
I love working on my deck – we live on a small lake and it is so peaceful and inspiring.
