CONNECT Story #7

Peptronics is an IT support company that works with small businesses to help them operate effectively with the use of technology and become less paper dependent. Joe Pepka, CEO of Peptronics, France VirtualOffiCenter client and staple in our community, recently made a CONNECTION at our Park Place East Networking Group and shares his story below.

I met Judy Zimmer, Park VirtualOffiCenter client, at the monthly Park OffiCenter Networking Group. She was having some issues on her home PC and we talked a bit at the meeting. The next month we chatted again about her PC still running slowly. At this point, she reached out to me and asked me if I could come to her house and help resolve her issues. While I was there, I went through and found issues related to some software that was installed that would make the system slow. Her husband explained to me that he thought it was everything that she was downloading on the computer that was affecting its speed. I took the time to explain to both of them where the issues were and that he had the right to be concerned, but the things that he thought were making the system slow weren’t actually the cause. I also gave him a few recommendations on how he could add another computer for his “stuff” for a small price. By that time, I had everything fixed and working faster than it had in the last four months. They were very satisfied, and my way out said that I was a great Marriage Counselor in helping them come to an understanding on how some simple changes can make their computer lives a lot easier.
