Don Wolpers, Managing Partner at Topspin Strategic Partners, helps meet the growing needs of small-to-medium sized companies and organizations that are looking to grow, and may be in need of an introspective review from their customer’s perspective. They provide analysis and consultative services so that clients can experience renewed or continued growth and satisfaction. They also conduct workshops, lunch & learns and mastermind groups for the benefit of people and companies who are eager to learn and grow. Below, Don shares how connecting with our community helps him both professionally and personally.
I have made a variety of connections in a number of ways at OffiCenters, often as a result of networking, which are happening all the time in their spaces. Within the last 7 months, I’ve connected with these people in particular; Martin DeMarte, from Edina Realty, Juan Ramirez from Marcelita’s Cookies, and Maria Lynn Johnson. I met Juan at his PowerLunch presentation and during some of the OffiCenters networking events in St. Louis Park. Same is true for Martin, however I believe that was more of a chance meeting where we just struck up a friendly conversation. (That happens a lot at OffiCenters too!) I have done some business with both of them and look forward to finding the right opportunity to do something else with both of them in the near future. Maria is an author and speaker whom I met this winter. We had a cup of coffee and discussed some ways we could help each other build business. I had read her wonderful book, “The World’s Greatest Speakers” and told her how enjoyable it was. Since then, we have gotten together a few times. She has really taken off with the number of speaking engagements and appearances she has been doing and is really building her business. We have all been sharing ideas, leads and connections to help each other grow professionally and personally. These are good people!
