Facebook_ProfileImageKristine Newcomer of Firefly Sisterhood is a new fulltime client at our St. Louis Park location.  She has been selected to be our featured Success Client for this month’s Newsletter because she recently received a grant to launch this immensely important non-profit and is well on her way to making a difference in the lives of women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer!  We are delighted to bring you the story behind fireflysisterhood.org!

Every business has a story, tell us yours. Our mission is to foster one to one connections between women newly diagnosed with breast cancer and those already on the journey. We know that connecting with someone who has been where you are is healing and helpful. As a new non-profit we believe that we can ease the emotional burden, which then promotes the physical healing.

You were chosen as this month’s Success Client. Tell us about your most recent Success. Since we have only been “live” two months, we have had three successful matches between women newly diagnosed and survivor sisters. When I look back on all that has been done in seven months, it is astounding.

No one likes to brag about his or her business, but if you HAD TO . . . We call this the good karma project; the right people have come forward at the right time to move us along from an idea to a reality.

We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom. Make your vendors think aloud with you, you are the client.

Share the best advice you ever received. Be curious

Describe your perfect day off. Lake time of course, this is Minnesota

What might someone be surprised to know about you? I love country music

Together we are stronger. Tell us something you like about being our client. The way the staff welcomes everyone when they walk in the door.

If you could work anywhere under the sun, where would you choose? Under the Tuscan sun.

How can people CONNECT with you? kris@fireflysisterhood.org and help us spread the word.
