1) What would you like people to know about you and your business? AchieveGlobal is a training and consulting firm focused on employee development. I’m an Account Executive who handles Minnesota and two National Accounts out of Arkansas. I’ve been with the company for 14 years.
2) Where did you get the idea for your business? The company was formed back in 1999 prior to my arrival.
3) What makes your business unique? We develop solutions for organizations that focus on developing a company’s most valuable asset…their people. Our unique approach is to link our solutions to an organization’s bottom line business goals/results.
4) What is your ‘elevator speech’? Employee development and consulting that resolve key business issues worldwide…short elevator ride!
5) What are the keys to your success? Our ability to understand our client’s business issues and link our solutions to them. A client focused approach.
6) What is the one piece of advice you’d like to give to others about running a business? Find someone else to run the business and work for them like I do!
7) How long have you been at OffiCenters? Which location? 15 plus years both physically and virtually at the France OffiCenter location in Bloomington.
8) How has your relationship with OffiCenters changed your business? It’s allowed us to take advantage of their virtual package giving us a presence in the market. That’s important to our local clients.
9) If you could work from anywhere under the sun, where would you choose? Miami, Florida – It’s actually where my wife and kids live and I commute back and forth. The virtual package has allowed this to be a seamless process.
10) Tweet, Blog, LinkedIn, Facebook? LinkedIn & Facebook.
11) What piece of technology can you not live without? I think my iPad. Makes long plane rides a lot more pleasant.
12) What is one of your favorite quotes? “It’s not whether you get knocked down, It’s whether you get up” Vince Lombardi.
13) Who has been an inspiration in your life? Lots of people…I started my business career locally working for Eddie Phillips at the Phillips Beverage company. The effort he commanded was one that he modeled both personally and professionally. A great person to know and learn from.
14) When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you use it? Right now I’m trying to learn Portuguese as my wife is from Brazil. My kids speak it fluently as well so I want to know when they’re all talking bad about me!
15) If you had a long weekend with unlimited funds, where would you go? Little far to go for a long weekend but I’d love to go on a luxury African Safari.
16) If you could be any fictional character, whom would you choose and why? One of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the cartoon series. That would really impress my 5 year old son!
17) What is your favorite restaurant in Minnesota? People from Minnesota don’t know how lucky they are to have such a fantastic food scene. Ultimately I would have to say Manny’s…they always deliver with the food and service.
18) What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life? Too many to list but one that sticks out is ‘I’ll Follow the Sun’ by the Beatles.
19) If you could paint a picture what would you paint and why? Probably Barbie on a horse. That would really impress my 3 year old daughter!
