Cara Lundrigan, President of Universal Network Solutions, Inc., is a full-time client at Park OffiCenter. Established in 1997, UNS provides companies around the world with staffing solutions as well as tools to optimize their network security installation. Not many local IT consulting firms made it through the 1990’s. But, visionary Matt Haney saw an opportunity to reduce his overhead by creating a virtual-IT business model. His baby, Universal Network Solutions, Inc. (UNS), was born in 1997 and since has turned into a multi-million dollar business that continues to grow. UNS offers contract, contract-to-hire and permanent placement staffing solutions, along with everything you need to optimize your network security installation — including training, products and expert consultants.

Our most recent success is that we are expanding internationally! We opened an office in Canada in 2014 and are now opening a division in APAC – Australia!
No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
We have experienced year over year growth, opened an office in Canada and are about to open an office in the APAC region – Australia!
We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
Make sure to have a clear vision and focus. Communicate your vision to your employees. Every employee should have a clear understanding of their role, their goals and their value. We have not always been good at this and have lost employees and opportunities as a result.

Describe your perfect day off.
Spending time with my husband and three kids at my parents’ home in Northern Minnesota.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I am a yoga addict.
Together we are stronger. Tell us something you like about being our client.
We decided to come to OffiCenters in December of last year. It has been a great move and transition! The staff has been incredibly kind, helpful and easy to work with. We couldn’t be happier!
If you could work anywhere under the sun, where would you choose?
Well, now that I have seen all the benefits employees receive in Australia…it may just have to be there!
