I started Darke & Associates to help small to midsize companies to solve their human capital challenges by providing business owners and executives with accurate decision-making selection tools and training. We help establish a system to reduce turnover, increase employee satisfaction, engagement and retention.

You were chosen as this month’s Innovator Client. What does being an Innovator mean to you?
I work with my clients to introduce new products and service offerings as they become available to the market.

No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
I have to mention my great clients! I really appreciate my client and we have grown together over the years.

We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
Measure what you can.  Trust your instincts.  Try not to repeat past mistakes. And don’t overthink it.  Surround yourself with the best people you can.

Share the best advice you ever received.
“When one door closes another opens.” Not sure if this qualifies as advice but I have found this to be true, I tend to look for the lesson in most things.

Describe your perfect day off.
Any day spent with my grandson.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I am an AKC dog show judge licensed to judge sporting breeds. This makes sense, I am assessing “fit” to a standard which is similar to what I do in my everyday job.

The OffiCenters concept fits in with the growth plan of my business. Additionally, I have found the people that work at OffiCenters to be outstanding.  A win-win all around!

If you could work anywhere under the sun, where would you choose?
I have clients all over the country however Calistoga, CA and Charlotte, NC area are favorite locations. Grand Cayman is a noted warm weather destination.
