My Very Own Bed: Providing Beds, Building Hope

My Very Own Bed shares the story of how their mission began and how far they’ve come. In 2013, Founder Michael Allen met Denise and her two young daughters, who had just moved out of a shelter and into their new home. When he learned they would be sleeping on the floor, he was inspired to take action, and My Very Own Bed was born. Since then, the organization has delivered over 10,000 beds to children in the Twin Cities, bringing comfort, stability, and hope to families in need.
