Anthony Verderame and Whole Life Hypnosis is a full-time client at our International Plaza location has been chosen as our Innovator Client for July. Hypnosis is rapidly becoming a mainstream treatment choice for a wide range of conditions and problems encountered in the practice of medicine, psychiatry and psychotherapy. It is Anthony’s undying passion to be the tool for change in another person’s life and with his new full-time office at International Plaza he can do just that!

1)   Who are you and what do you do? ANTHONY VERDERAME; I am a hypnotherapist.

2)   Which OffiCenters location does your business call ‘home-base’? International Plaza

3)   How long have you been an OffiCenters client? I was a Virtual Client for aprox. 6 months & now I have had a full time office for the past 2 months.

4)   What is your ‘elevator speech’? As a Hypnotherapist, I am simply an ordinary guy helping everyday ordinary people with everyday ordinary challenges.

5)   Where did you get the idea for your business? Obviously there are many hypnotherapists around the country so the “idea” is not original…LOL!!! But,….if you’re asking why I’m doing this then that’s a different story. I was exposed to hypnosis at a young age & became fascinated with it. Also, I have spent my life helping others in their lives. About 6-7 years ago I was reintroduced to hypnosis & found it to be an incredibly effective & inexpensive way to experience the transformation we so desire.

6)   What makes your business unique? In all “change work” what makes a person’s work effective IS the person/therapist. Therefore, as a hypnotherapist I am driven and motivated by love and the desire to see people’s lives transformed. I am transparent and I genuinely care. Another uniqueness of my practice is the principles that drive me. An example of one is the principle that, “the mind that created our neurosis is the same mind that will fix it.” this leads to another key principle, “find the cause and fix it” rather than simply chase after symptoms.

7)   What are the keys to your success? First & foremost it has to be PASSION…period.  Along with this would be to Think On Purpose (I have a talk entitled T.O.P. Living.) “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” If you truly follow your heart and fuel that passion with healthy thinking, you are a success.

8)   How has officing with OffiCenters changed your business? It’s given me a wonderful identity in the community. Even as a virtual client, I was proud to have my clients meet me at France or International Plaza. Now that I have a full time office, it’s provided my business with stability, a professional and comfortable environment and a place my clients feel comfortable coming to.

9)   What would you like people to know about you? I am driven by my heart and that I love people. I therefore love what I do.

10)  Do you use social media to attract clients? If so, which services do you use? Yes I do. I have a business page on Facebook. I am also on Twitter and LinkedIn. I often post articles I find or quotes or put a personal quote up to create an identity as an expert in the field of the mind, hypnotherapy and change work.

11)  What is one of your favorite quotes? O…M…G!!! Seriously??? I don’t know if these are my absolute favorites, but they are ones that come to mind right now…..Ok, here it goes:

“We live in the light of reflected action. The things that happened to us in the past are still happening to us every day.” ~ Dave Elman

“Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” ~ Albert Einstein

“Your life does not get better by chance. It gets better by CHANGE.” ~ Jim Rohn

“The only normal people are the ones you don’t know very well.” ~ Alfred Adler

12)  Who has been an inspiration in your life, and how?  I am what I am for two reasons; my family and my faith in Jesus! Professionally, Gerald Kein of Omni Hypnosis Training Center in Florida, has been a tremendous inspiration for me along with Gil Boyne (who is now deceased).

13)  When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you use it? It depends, but I would say either reading an old book on hypnosis, watching TV or hangin with a friend.

14)  If you could be any fictional character, whom would you choose and why? The first character that comes to mind is Maximus in the movie Gladiator. He was a man of conviction & character…and he lived them. He was a man’s man who stood for truth and justice.

15)  If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? hmmm….that’s a tough one. By nature I am a Labrador Retriever type personality. So I guess I’ll stick with what works…LOL!!!

16)  What is your favorite restaurant in Minnesota? I’ve only lived here for 2 years so it’s kind of hard to answer that so far. But being Italian, I would have to say right now it would be Cossetta’s (for its traditional nature) and Biaggis (for its incredible gluten free menu).

17)  What is your favorite place to visit in Minnesota? Again, I really don’t have one after only 2 years.

18)  What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life? I hate these kind of questions because it makes my brain work WAY too hard. Although I love music, I’m not a music buff. So no song titles are coming to mind. Wait, I just thought of the perfect song!! ‘It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood’, Mr. Rogers theme song.

19)  If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve ever seen before, what would you paint and why? I love the serenity of the ocean and beach. The calm, consistent hypnotic sound of the crashing waves is wonderful.

20)  What is your favorite part of being with OffiCenters? (sorry….can’t give just one) As a “small guy,” it makes me feel and appear to be a part of something much bigger than myself. I also love the opportunities to network and build more relationships. (oh yeah…..the staff ROCKS!!!)
