American Express launched Small Business Saturday in 2010, encouraging people around the country to shop at small/local businesses on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The single day has grown into a powerful movement, and more people are taking part than ever before. Last year an estimated $14.3 BILLION was spent at small, independant bussinesses on Small Business Saturday.
This year, the big day is Nov 28.
