Every business has a story, tell us yours.
We’ve been in business together for 30 years and when we started we really didn’t like each other but we each respected each other’s abilities. Mame once told the people at NBC TV that she “would never work with that bitch, Sue Dubbs”. When we met with our attorney to incorporate, he told us that friends rarely make good business partners. We told him that this would not be a problem because we really didn’t like each other and we sure as heck were NOT friends.

You were chosen as this month’s Success Member. Tell us about a recent Success.
Our most recent success was handling all the advertising for Super Bowl LII for our client, the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee. We were the liaison between the media, the Super Bowl Host Committee, and the NFL to make sure that all the trade advertising that the NFL requires in their bid requirements for a host city are met or exceeded. We delivered almost double the required exposure AND the NFL loved us. The NFL doesn’t like anybody, but they really loved us and the amount of free advertising we were able to obtain for them. They were so impressed that they told the Host Committees in Atlanta (Super Bowl LIII) and Miami (Super Bowl LIV) to hire us because we exceeded all the other media services in all the prior host cities. We said thank you, but we could never top Super Bowl LII.

No one likes to brag about their business, but if you HAD TO . . .
We’ve managed to survive and thrive in a volatile business that changes every day, and our clients still like us.

We learn from our mistakes, especially in business. Give us some words of wisdom.
Never pretend to know more about a client’s business than they do.

What “teacher” has made the most impact on your life and why?
Sue: Father Larry Gillick when he said, “You will have moments of great faith and devastating doubt forever”.  Mame: I introduced Sue to Fr. Larry Gillick so I think I should get part credit for her answer.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?
Sue: I am a natural blonde.
Mame:  I am not a natural redhead.

If you could have only one super power, what would it be and why?
Sue: I hate everything about commercial air travel and I am always running late.
Mame: Sleeping through the night. I’m sure I’d have more productive days as a result.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
Sue: The large number of Trump supporters in Minnesota.
Mame: A video of my 1-year-old granddaughter learning to run.

Why do you choose to WORK AWESOME at OffiCenters?
GREAT location, nice views from our office, easy parking, fast elevators, clean and tidy amenities, Black Jack Friday, and Mackenzie always smiling even on a crappy day.
