Girls in Action™ (GIA) was founded in 2005 by Dr. Verna Cornelia Price to address the rise in violent, destructive, and delinquent behavior being exhibited by the female students at North High School in Minneapolis. Since its inception, GIA has helped over 3,000 girls in Minnesota, the U.S. and abroad achieve success in high school, college and life by mentoring, empowering, engaging and educating young girls at risk.
