OneCommunity In Action
OC/VOC launched OneCommunity, our community spirit of giving program, in November 2015. Since that time, we have contributed to Project Elf and Christmas in the City by providing holiday gifts and donations to families in need. We gave generously to Second Harvest to stock local area food shelves and brought awareness to woman’s heart health on Wear Red Day. In May we sponsored two OneCommunity Member events. First, Dr. Verna Price’s Girls in Action “I Am” Breakfast. This is always an inspiring and uplifting fundraiser that we are proud to be a part of. Next, Passport to Depart Smart, organized by OneCommunity member Sheryl Hill. And, you all made the old adage, “Every Picture Tells a Story” true on Red Nose Day! The pictures from the centers are fun, silly and helped raise money for under privileged children in America. On June 15 we proudly sponsored Illuminight, an event supporting The Firefly Sisterhood, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to connect woman facing breast cancer with inspirational survivors to provide hope, support and encouragement. We also welcomed two new members, Operation HighGround & Brain Injury Resource Group. Visit our OneCommunity page to learn more or see how you can help!
